About Our Products

Our wooden seats will fit most loos (see FAQs) and are all made from solid timber. We finish them entirely by hand in a variety of finishes and timbers. Most of our styles use a full 30mm thick seat ring for a more traditional appearance and greater comfort. We do not make Mahogany ‘Style’ seats such as an MDF base covered with a photographic paper veneer, which you will find in a number of the larger outlets.

Our hinges are solid hot stamped brass all made and finished, from our own dies, in England. The vast majority of loo seat hinges are the imported swivel type that are notorious for working loose and leaving the seat unstable on the WC bowl. We use only the traditional bar type hinge which gives much more stability. Our hinges are stamped (hot forged) rather than the more common and cheaper cast type, which gives far more integral strength to the components and unlike some hinges that are made from brass substitute materials, ours are 100% solid brass.

This all means that they are more costly than most but will long outlive their competitors. We strive to be sure that we make absolutely the best seat that money can buy and are determined that the quality of our seats will result in a lifetime of pleasure and consequently will represent the best possible value for money. We also offer an almost limitless range of ways to tailor-make your seat and personalise it to your own requirements.

We have done our best to reproduce colours accurately, however, due to variations in screen colours and settings we cannot guarantee an exact replication of colour.
